Semester One
Mooting is a great opportunity for aspiring advocates to lend their voice and their knowledge of a particular area of law to a mock appeal case in which they will represent a hypothetical client.
Mooting will test the research, flexibility and communication skills of competitors as it takes the form of a two way dialogue between the counsel and a judge. It will challenge students in areas of law they have previously studied and test their knowledge and ability to apply correct court etiquette.
Mooting challenges the research skills of students and requires students to be able to think quickly in order to effectively and persuasively communicate legal submissions on behalf of their client.
