Negotiation

Negotiation is a competition where teams of two negotiators represent the interests of opposing parties to a dispute and attempt to resolve the conflicting issues. To do so, each team is to reach an outcome that advantageously satisfies the goals and expectations of their individual client, but that also reflects consideration for the needs and interests of the other side.

Students are judged on how well they represent their client’s needs, how well they work as a team and how well they communicate with the opposing team. The 2016 Clayton Utz Negotiation Competition is a great opportunity for you to meet new people, enhance your law school education and gain practical skills that will benefit your future law career!
